چکیده

Gold nanoparticles which are known for thousands years started their progress in 19 century. Nowadays gold nanoparticles are used in several fields of chemistry, physics, materials, medicine, and optics due to their unique physical and chemical properties (ref. 1). However, their applications in the separation science are still relatively rare. Nanoparticles have been successfully used to enhance optical and electrochemical detection and separation (ref. 2).

Open-tubular capillary electrochromatography with bare gold nanoparticles-based stationary phase applied to separation of trypsin digested native and glycated proteins.

In this work, open-tubular capillary electrochromatography (OT-CEC) method with bare gold nanoparticles (GNPs)-based stationary phase has been developed and applied for separation of tryptic peptide fragments of native and glycated proteins, bovine serum albumin (BSA), and human transferrin (HTF). The GNPs-based stationary phase was prepared by immobilization of bare GNPs, freshly reduced from ...

Preparation of a β-Cyclodextrin-Based Open-Tubular Capillary Electrochromatography Column and Application for Enantioseparations of Ten Basic Drugs

An open-tubular capillary electrochromatography column was prepared by chemically immobilized β-cyclodextrin modified gold nanoparticles onto new surface with the prederivatization of (3-mercaptopropyl)-trimethoxysilane. The synthesized nanoparticles and the prepared column were characterized by transmission electron microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, infrared spectroscopy and ultraviole...

Application of bare gold nanoparticles in open-tubular CEC separations of polyaromatic hydrocarbons and peptides.

In this study, bare gold nanoparticles (GNPs) immobilized in the sol-gel-pretreated fused-silica (FS) capillary as a stationary phase for open-tubular capillary electrochromatography (OT-CEC) are for the first time shown to be able to separate both hydrophobic polyaromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) as well as hydrophilic cationic antimicrobial peptides. Model mixture of four PAHs, naphthalene, fluore...

Application of Bare Gold Nanoparticles in Open-Tubular CEC Separations of Polyaromatic Hydrocarbons

Nanoparticles (NPs) are objects of variable shapes with the dimensions in the range of units to hundreds of nanometers possessing unique physical and chemical properties [1, 2]. Typical features of NPs are a large surface-to-volume ratio and other fascinating properties derived from the “quantum size effect” [2]. NPs have significantly influenced many fields of science including analytical sepa...

A novel enzyme-immobilized flow cell used as end-column chemiluminescent detection interface in open-tubular capillary electrochromatography.

A novel enzyme-immobilized flow-through interface was designed for sensitive end-column chemiluminescent (CL) detection in open-tubular capillary electrochromatography (OTCEC). Enzyme was covalently bound on an aldehyde-activated polymer membrane immobilized in a flow cell to catalyze the CL reaction that occurred in it. Using glycine as the model analyte, N-(4-aminobutyl)-N-ethylisoluminol-der...
